Death, life’s final passage, is inevitable and can be profoundly difficult to navigate. There are so many decisions to be made at this time when emotions threaten to overwhelm us at every turn. It’s not uncommon for people to feel uncertain and to find themselves searching for meaning in life. Ceremony at this time can be very enriching – not only does it honour the life of the one we lost, but it also supports those who are mourning. Although difficult, preparing for a funeral or memorial offers an opportunity to grieve together with our family and community, acknowledging our loss, and remembering all that we loved.
There is no right or wrong way to grieve, nor is there a right or wrong way to pay tribute to a life well lived; but there may be a particular way that you want to pay tribute to a loved one. I can help you with that. I will meet with you and your family, gently guiding you through the process of creating the ceremony. I will be listening with my heart to understand your loss, getting to know your loved one through the sharing of stories and remembrances, and I will work with you to design a ceremony that honours and reflects your loved one and your memories, as well as your wishes and needs.
It is my pleasure to provide you with a beautiful keepsake copy of the ceremony.
Your journey with Storycatcher Ceremonies begins with a conversation. I look forward to connecting with you for a no-obligation meeting to discuss your vision for the ceremony and to provide you with a quote for my fees.
